Microbial Enriched Biochar Levels and Fertilizer Doses on Soil Chemical Properties under Spinach (Spinacia oleracea) Production

چکیده

Intensive cultivation of vegetables and imbalanced fertilization depleted the soil nutrients caused low yield with poor quality crops. A novel microbial enriched biochar fertilizer combination could alleviate nutrient stress. Therefore, a field experiment was conducted 14 treatments [4 levels (5, 7.5,10, 15 t ha-1), 3 doses fertilizers (50, 75,100% recommended) along without absolute control] in spinach production. This study randomized block designed replicated three times trial plot at BAIF, Central Research Station, Pune during 2020-2021. Maximum growth parameters (plant height, leaf length, width petiole length) were recorded (T4) Biochar @ 10 tha-1 + 75% RDF followed by (T7) 7.5 +50% RDF. Whereas, highest Spinach (18.58 tha-1) under 75 % (T3) (17.93 tha-1). The treatment (T1) 100 has registered as superior from an economic point view. Furthermore, minimum values control. Based on above results it is concluded that combined application biochar(10t ha-1) (75% recommended dose) enhanced availability to for maximum yield.

Biochar impact on physiological and biochemical attributes of Spinach (Spinacia oleracea L.) in nickel contaminated soil

Disastrous effect of nickel on spinach was discussed by number of authors but the effect of amendments like biochar with nickel on Spinacea oleraceaL. is not still discussed by any author of the world because biochar was used as soil amendments which play a vital role in reducing mobilization and uptake of nickel by spinach plants.  As nickel contaminated plants are very harmful for th...

Novel defensin subfamily from spinach (Spinacia oleracea).

Antimicrobial peptides (So-D1-7) were isolated from a crude cell wall preparation from spinach leaves (Spinacia oleracea cv. Matador) and, judged from their amino acid sequences, six of them (So-D2-7) represented a novel structural subfamily of plant defensins (group IV). Group-IV defensins were also functionally distinct from those of groups I-III. They were active at concentrations < 20 micro...

Effect of Cadmium Levels on Seed Germination and Seedling Growth of Spinach (Spinacia oleracea) Under Salinity Stress

Cadmium is highly toxic heavy metal. Soil factors such as pH, caution exchange capacity, CaCO3 content and salinity have a significant influence on Cd uptake by plants. Moreover, soil salinity has a great impact on crop yield in Iran. Therefore, the effect of four salt levels (0, 45, 90, 180 mM) of NaCl solutions and four concentrations (0, 15, 30, 60 ppm) of Cadmium sulfate solutions on seed g...
